Fans of 888Poker.com will see a refreshing change this week. Executives with the online gaming company announced that they would release a new version of the site with brand-new graphics, features and capabilities for its thousands of online poker players. The new site is scheduled for launch on 27 July.

The biggest changes players will notice right away will be in the poker lobby. Both the look of the site and the functions it offers users have been upgraded. The site will feature a new “3D” lobby, with intense graphics to grab the player’s attention.

The site is also divided into beginning and advanced sections to fit a visitor’s experience level. The lobby includes a “My Favorites” function that allows players to sort by table size, bet size, multi-table tournament, sit-and-go, and a number of other criteria to save players time when selecting their game.

Online tournament players will find two other new functions at 888Poker.com. The first is that multi-table tournaments now allow for late registration. Players can now enter a tournament on the site after play has already started. The other feature is a “time bank”, which gives players additional time to make those crucial tournament decisions.

888Poker.com is also getting involved in the “social network” phenomenon. The site has launched its own social gathering site, including poker forums, instructional blogs, and will allow users to share photos and videos of past triumphs and bad beats. In addition to English, 888Poker will be available in Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
