Sites Up Bonuses After Full Tilt Poker Shut Down

Following Full Tilt Poker shutdown, competitor sites increase their bonuses.

In the race to attract new players following Wednesday's Full Tilt Poker shutdown, competitor online poker sites throughout Europe are wasting no time. Top sites like Titan Poker and Paddy Power adjusted their initial bonuses as incentive for disaffected Full Tilt Poker members, both offering as much as $2,000 at signup.

On Thursday, Titan Poker issued a press release assuring existing players that it was still a "secure gaming environment in a rapidly changing industry," and reminded prospective players of its new CasinoDeal Welcome Bonus of 200% up to $1,000.

Since then, and in the wake of the media frenzy that followed Wednesday's Full Tilt Poker news, Titan has upped the ante. It now offers an initial signup bonus of 200% up to $2,000.

Of the Full Tilt Poker shutdown, Marc Kenigsberg, VP of Marketing for Euro Partners (the affiliate program behind Titan Poker) had this to say:

"Online poker lost one of its major players today, and has left both poker affiliates and poker players questioning the future of our industry. As the exclusive promoters of Europe's leading, legally-operated online poker rooms, Euro Partners is confident that the online poker industry as a whole, and our poker affiliate partners in particular, will continue to flourish."

He went on to say that Titan Poker would give away a new Porsche Carrera to affiliates who place it in top positions on their sites.

Paddypower.com had the same idea. Yesterday it launched several attractive bonuses of its own. Like Titan, its post-Full-Tilt-Poker-shutdown bonus is 200% up to $2,000. Additionally, it's offering a $10,000 reload bonus now through July 14.

According to a spokesman for the site: “We’re here to help [players] by offering new and existing players a solid, transparent, safe and secure alternative with great bonuses, exclusive VIP treats, and fun promotions – and you’ll be able to play poker and access your money ALL the time.”

Titan and Paddypower may be onto something. Following the Full Tilt Poker shutdown, Titan has seen its player rolls increase dramatically, no doubt the result of both its security and its newly enhanced Welcome Bonus.

Gambling City will continue to cover breaking Full Tilt Poker news as it happens.
