888 "Celebrity Challenge" Poker Promotions End Soon

888 Poker has been hosting its "Celebrity Challenge" online poker promotions throughout November. The last two of these special poker tournaments, which pit celebrities against civilians and allow 888 members to take on some of the world's biggest sports, TV and poker stars, will be held tomorrow (Friday) and Tuesday, November 29.

To participate in the poker promotions, players need only sign up to 888 Poker and pay the $0.88 buy-in. Tournaments are played at 888 Webcam tables so that players can actually chat with the celebrity they are challenging.

Tournament prizes are in the thousands of dollars.

Friday's celebrity is Shane Warne, Australian cricket legend and 888poker Captain. The challenge begins at 21:00 GMT.

Next Tuesday, 888 members are invited to take on Charlotte Jackson, a journalist and sports reporter for Sky News. In 2009, she hosted the FIFA World Player of the Year Awards. Kickoff for this celebrity challenge is 19:00 GMT.
