iPoker Christmas Charity Freeroll Announced

iPoker, the world's largest independent online poker network, is gearing up to host its annual Christmas Charity Freeroll, which gives away $10,000 in prizes and donates $5,000 to a charity of the winner's choosing.

The freeroll includes satellite tournaments scheduled for December 24 and 25, as well as a main event freeroll to be held at 16:00 GMT on Christmas day. Buy-ins for satellites start at 25 iPoints. The buy-in for the main event freeroll is 10,000 iPoints, R/A.

The first place finisher will receive $5,000 in cash. iPoker will donate an additional $5,000 on behalf of the winner to a charity of his choice.

Participating charitable organizations include those working across a range of issues, from human rights advocacy to HIV education and prevention to fighting poverty and hunger. These include:

• WHO
• The International HIV/AIDS Alliance
• The World Food Program
• Med Share
• Carter Center

Another $5,000 will be paid out to top finishers. The iPoker Christmas Charity Freeroll prize is $15,000 ($10,000 cash + $5,000 donation).
