Microgaming, one of the online gambling world's most prolific and popular game developers, has launched a new video slots games titled Immortal Romance. The software company is comparing Immortal Romance, which boasts 243 ways to win, to its other phenomenally successful slots, Lord of the Rings and Thunderstruck II.

Of the game, Micrograming says: "A Dark Tale of Love and Intrigue is a Heartbeat away."

Immortal Romance is the first in what will be a series of video slots games with paranormal-themed characters and plot. With its release, Microgaming is hoping to tap into the current popularity of video games and television shows that feature vampires, dragons and royalty.  

The game's heroine is Sarah. Players who unlock her receive 25 free spins, and when activated, her Wild Vine feature randomly substitutes Wild symbols for standards, thus  increasing the possibility of big wins.
