PokerStars Adds to EPT Schedule

Christmas isn't over at PokerStars. The world's top online poker site announced this week that it would add three more tournaments to its season eight schedule of the European Poker Tour (EPT).

The three new stops will be in Italy, Spain and Germany. Madrid and Berlin have hosted events before, but for Campione, a small-ish town in the Lombardy region of Italy, this year's event will mark the first in its history (though it has played host to PokerStars Italian Poker Tour several times).

Said EPT President, Edgar Stuchly: "We’re delighted that the EPT will be returning to two major capital cities (Madrid and Berlin) in Europe, both of which have proved to be highly popular locations in recent years. We’re also very excited that the tour is, for the first time, heading to the highly exclusive region of Campione in Italy, further extending the reach of the EPT. ”

The Spain stop will take place at Madrid's Casino Gran Madrid Torrelodones from March 12 to 17. Italy is up next, from March 26 to 31 at the Casino Municipale di Campione d'Italia on the banks of the stunning Lake Lugano. Berlin closes out the tour (at least, of the dates announced so far) from April 16 to 21. Its event will be held at the Spielbank.

Below is a list of season eight's remaining EPT events scheduled thus far.

January 5-15: PokerStars Caribbean Adventure - Atlantis Resort & Casino, Paradise Island, The Bahamas

January 31-February 6: EPT Deauville - Casino Barriere
€5,000+€300 ($6,535+$392) buy-in main event (1,000-player maximum)

February 20-25: EPT Copenhagen - Casino Copenhagen
35,000 DKK+2,250 DKK ($6,154+$396) buy-in main event (600-player maximum)

March 12-17: EPT Madrid - Gran Casino Madrid Torrelodones
€5,000+€300 ($6,535+$392) buy-in main event (600-player maximum)

March 26-31: EPT Campione - Casino Municipale di Campione d’Italia
€5,000+€300 ($6,535+$392) buy-in main event (800-player maximum)

April 16-21: EPT Berlin - Spielbank Berlin
€5,000+€300 ($6,535+$392) buy-in main event (1,000-player maximum)
