Pokerstars TCOOP Underway

PokerStars first-ever Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) kicked off yesterday with a bang. Four events with guaranteed prize pools worth a combined total of $ 600K took place over the course of less than 8 hours.

These included:

• Event #1 $22 NL Hold'em (6 max) - $200K GTD
• Event #2 $33 NL Omaha Hi/Lo - $50K GTD
• Event #3 $134 NL Hold'em (Knockout) - $250K GTD
• Event #4 $33 NL Hold'em - $100K GTD
   

The action continues today with four new events and several satellites. These include:

• Event #5 $22 PL Draw - $50K GTD
• Event #6 $55 NL Hold'em (6 max, shootout, no late registration) - $100K GTD
• Event #7 $22+R NL Hold'em - $400K GTD
• Event #8 $82 NL Hold'em (big antes, 2x chance) - $300K GTD

TCOOP is an online tournament designed for players who like fast action on the felt. Its more than 50 events have buy-ins of $5.50-$2,100 and include Hold’em, Omaha and HORSE, among others, played across formats ranging from Hyper-Turbo to 3x-Turbo tournaments. The tournament highlight is a $1,500,000 Main Event.

TCOOP runs January 19-29 and will award a total $10,000,000 in cash prizes. Thus far, PokerStars has issued $1,938,460.00 in winnings.
