Keno rules are the same in online casinos as they are in land-based casinos, so once you learn them it's easy to play pretty much anywhere. Put simply, pick as many as ten numbers between one and 80 that you think will be drawn; place bets on each of those numbers; and await the outcome. Though this is a game of luck, similar to bingo and lotteries, rules as to game flow and betting should still be followed.

Strategy & How to Win at Keno
In truth, there is no strategy that can help you to win at keno. As opposed to a gamble like poker, for example, wherein players make decisions in the course of a hand that influences its outcome, keno players rely entirely on lady luck. There are, however, strategies that affect whether players win or lose over the long haul. Gambling City explains them.

Keno's history is intriguing but unproven. According to some theorists, Cheung Leung of the Han Dynasty introduced it as a means of funding an unpopular war. Citizens paid to select “numbers” from 120 Chinese characters and were awarded money when their number(s) came up. The game is said to have won the war and paid for much of the construction of the Great Wall.

Keno boasts an intriguing if only speculative, history that purports the game dates back to ancient China.
Today’s games have deviated little from the format set forth by their predecessor. Each begins with the distribution of tickets. Tickets are boards with 80 numbers printed ten across and eight down. Players choose between one and ten numbers they think will be one of the 20 numbers selected. Players bet on their numbers and await the outcome.
The goal of both casino and keno online is to guess the correct numbers of the 20 that are called in each round. Winnings are awarded when a player gets a “Hit”—a number pre-selected by the player then randomly drawn.
As in most other casino games, the size of the winnings is determined by the size of the bet, with most games offering bets in 1, 3, and 5 increments. The quantity of numbers selected on each board will also influence the size of the prize pool.
